Youth Ministry of Anderson First Baptist Church
2011
This is Collide, the Youth Ministry of Anderson First Baptist. We are 6th-12th graders who meet several times a week for Bible studies, outings, fellowship, and most importantly getting to know God better and share Him with others.
There are a few things you need to know. This faith isn’t a “dance on the dandelions while the birds sing on your shoulder” kind of faith. This is a “good times and bad times, finding God in every type of situation, not skirting around the real issues kind of faith.” We have a LOT of fun, but we want to reach you in your hard times too.
No topic is off limits.
Don’t tell yourself “I’ve got to get myself right” before you come.
All imperfect people are admitted.
If you’ll click the menus above you’ll see some notes from things we’ve talked about. There’s also a calendar telling you the times we meet during the summer and here you’ll download your permission forms (we need these to drive around with you.)
There’s TONS of pics, a link to our Facebook group, and a few of our many videos (we can’t always post them all because it takes SOOOO much storage space.)
Finally, on the contact page you’ll find directions how to get here, where the youth rooms are (yes we are blessed with several rooms we alternate through depending on what we’re doing that day,) and contact info for the Student Minister, Travis Crocker.
We invite you to join us as we “Collide” with God, and hope you’ll come in and crash with us sometime.

Where faith and life collide...
Top: Some of the youth at Atlantic Beach NC during our beach trip which took us to Shackelford Island (with wild horses, crabs, and a hammerhead,) Cape Look Out (with the light house,) and Ft. Macon at Atlantic Beach (that part got rained out but we still had fun!)
Bottom: One of two mission sites we served at during Student Life camp. Youth interacted with elderly residents at both locations, played games with them, and cleaned the place up.
Right: Team building exercise during our Back to School at Look Up Lodge event. We had a small portion of LOST 2 event (this time completely interactive, games oriented, and brief) with a devotional on reaching out to bring others into the church and reaching out to those who walk away from church. After a couple hours of guided activities we let loose to play in the water (zip line, swing, slide, swimming, kayaks.)
